Manchester Airport is involved in Operation Zenith to ensure we are at the forefront of UTM development. We see this as a vital part of future air traffic management.

Successful implementation of UTM will unlock the huge potential for UAV activity, benefiting the region’s economy and the UK as a whole whilst in turn safeguarding the safety of our customers and neighbours.

Manchester Airport is the UK’s third largest airport handling more than 27.9 million passengers a year.  The 18th busiest airport in Europe, we offer more than 210 destinations with 60+ airlines.

We are the only airport in the UK other than London Heathrow to have two full length operational runways.  With 22 million people within a 2 hour drive of the airport, the airport is undergoing a £1bn transformation programme to allow it to continue to grow.

Manchester Airport support responsible drone use. We are committed to educating drone users to ensure they operate safely and legally and seek to reduce the number of non-cooperative drone users.
